LOCATION: CAMERON HIGHLANDS | ELEVATION: 2,110 meter asl | DIFFICULTY LEVEL: EASY-MODERATE

Gunung Irau is the highest mountain in Cameron Highlands, perched next to Gunung Brinchang at 2,110 meters above sea-level. Unfortunately, the trail to Irau peak is closed due to landslide early February 2018. However, Pahang Forestry have said that it is safe to climb up until Mini Irau only at 2030m above sea-level, which is also known as Gunung Irau’s false peak. A popular hiking ground for visitors, the trail to conquer Mini Irau summit begins where the Mossy Forest boardwalk ends, taking between 6 to 7 hours to complete the whole trail. Along the way, don’t forget to enjoy a fascinating kaleidoscope of dainty orchids, moss gardens, peculiar shrubs and pitcher plants.

Gunung Brinchang Barat is the second highest mountain in the Cameron Highlands after Gunung Irau. This mountain attracts less tourist and visitors due to its inaccessibility. Altitude at 2005m above sea level, Brinchang Barat trail has the magnificent & pristine sceninc view of moss gardens, highlands orchid & pitcher plant draped in this lush rainforest grounds. A challenging 8 to 9 hours climb to complete the whole trail, it makes Gunung Brinchang Barat trail the best option if you would like to have longer hike & enjoy extra time in the unique highland tropical jungle.

Gunung Siku is a mountain in Cameron Highlands’ Blue Valley where you can enjoy beautiful moss gardens and wild highlands orchids. Peaked at 1,916m above sea level, it normally takes about 3 hours to reach the summit. Highly recommended for casual trekkers who would like to experience picturesque moss gardens along the trail without having to spend longer hikes.

Gunung Berembun is located at Cameron Highlands and it can be easily accessed from Sungai Pauh Camp Site, a nature camp site hidden in the rainforest near Taman Sedia, a small residential village in Tanah Rata. Peaked at 1,836m above sea level, it normally takes about 3 hours to reach the summit. It is also known to be an enjoyable & gentle climb for casual trekkers.

Gunung Ledang National Park lies just inside Johor’s border with Melaka state, about 30 km from the town of Muar and it is the highest mountain in Johor. With its peak altitude at 1276m above sea-level is accessible from Sagil Trail on Johor side & Asahan Trail on Melaka Side. Being only a couple of hours drive from both Kuala Lumpur and Singapore, means that this mystical legendary mountain is one of the most popular and frequently climbed mountains in Malaysia.

Gunung Berembun and Telapak Buruk is a mountain located near Seremban, Negeri Sembilan, and stands at 1014 m a.s.l for Berembun Peak and 1193 m a.s.l for Telapak Buruk, making it among the highest peaks in the state. The forest at Gunung Berembun and Telapak Buruk is unique in some ways. It sits close to the tail of Titiwangsa Range (Backbone of Malaysia Peninsula) at its southernmost part, and also located in the driest district in Malaysia (Jelebu). This forest serves as a refuge for many species of flora and fauna.

5 star review  Yeah I love it baybeh! Went to Everest Base Camp just now (26 Nov - 11 Dec) with this Gogo aka organiser really satisfied me. Ampa nak taw dak? Depa ni teruk naw-naw layan kita. Semua benda depa nak amik taw.. makan kita, kondisi kesihatan kita, persiapan kita, phase kita, load kita dan sampai oksigen dalam badan kita pon depa dok amik taw. Bukan tu ja, dari travel insurance sampai lah ka visa kita pon depa dok busy body guide kita and tolong kita sampai settle. Mana dak teruk layanan depa nih. Puas hati teruk. Rasa secure jer. On trek on site lagi teruk depa layan. Sampai airport Kathmandu sibuk ja depa dok carik kita nak pickup. Pastu bawak p hotel, bawak p tukaq duit, bawak p carik barang² outdoor. Letih nau depa layan. Teruk Kan? Gogo lain ada caring camni jugak ka? Depa ni memang jenih teruk terbaik lah. Pastu dah naik gunung tuh toksah dok habaq lah, slow lagu mana pon ampa, laju kaw² pon ampa depa ni layan suma. Team on the ground depa memang jenih teruk terbaik. Dari guide, porter suma memang buat kita macam family. Gogo tu toksah dok royak lah memang dari Malaysia lagi dok caring kita. Again rasa secure sangat. Bdw, thank you very-very much goes to Amin, Gogo kami yang tak pernah penat melayan kerenah kami since 1st day confirm nak join trip (walaupun tak bayaq depo lagi �). Thank you also to ground team kat Nepal yang superb, Rajesh aka our guide, Gopal assistant guide and porter, Umesh and the uncle aka our beloved porter and all Thrill Adventures team yang organised kami to reach Everest Base Camp!
