MAJESTIC MOUNTAIN RANGES
Both Peninsular Malaysia and East Malaysia contain significant highlands within their borders. Ranges stud Peninsular Malaysia from the Thai border southward. Significant peaks include Mount Korbu, also called Buffalo Mountain, the 7,162-foot high point of the Titiwangsa Mountains, as well as 7,175-foot Mount Tahan in the Tahan Range, the highest summit on the peninsula. The Crocker Range in the state of Sabah on the north end of East Malaysia includes the country’s highest peak, 13,455-foot Mount Kinabalu.
